History

LA’s Prom Closet was the brilliant idea of Natalie Torres, a local of Lennox, CA. As she was Spring-cleaning she came across several gowns she had from her high school and sorority days. Having only worn some of the dresses once, she knew their value and assumed others would like to wear them. As a result, she searched online for organizations that donated gowns to high school students. Unable to find one in her area, she decided to create it.

After speaking with a handful of her friends, she formed her team and got the organization running. Now after two years, the non-profit has already helped over 120 students attend their high school prom.
